Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been producing medical guidelines for over 25 years to help practitioners in the field. The contents of these guidelines are based on scientific data collected from MSF’s experiences, the World Health Organisation (WHO), other renowned international medical institutions and medical and scientific journals.

These guidelines are the fruit of a collective effort by a group of experienced practitioners and known experts in their specialty. The texts are intended for non-specialized medical staff and take into account possible basic technical environments, in terms of diagnostic equipment, as well as restricted therapeutic means.
They can be used as a basis for medical staff training. The collection is used not only by MSF, but also by other international health operators (WHO, UNICEF, etc.).
